President Volodymyr Zelensky did not rule out the possibility of Russia attacking one of the European Union countries even before the end of the war in Ukraine, as Russian President Vladimir Putin is in a "deadlock".
"Putin is in a deadlock in terms of real success. For him, this is more of a deadlock. Therefore, these failures may prompt him to look for other territories," Zelensky warned in an interview with the Guardian.
"I think so. He can do it. We must forget the general European skepticism that Putin first wants to occupy Ukraine and then he can go somewhere else. "He can do both at the same time," the Ukrainian president added.
Zelensky linked the series of recent incidents in which Russian drones and fighter jets violated the borders of Eastern European NATO member states - Poland, Romania, Estonia - to the fact that Russia has failed to make significant progress on the front in Ukraine.
According to him, Russia is already waging a "hybrid war against Europe" and is testing the strength of NATO's red lines.
