Russian air defense forces shot down 71 Ukrainian drones over regions of Russia and the Black Sea last night, the Russian Defense Ministry said, quoted by TASS, BTA reports.
"Tonight, air defense forces on duty destroyed and intercepted 71 Ukrainian unmanned aircraft of the aircraft type: 29 over the territory of the Bryansk region, 7 - over the territory of the Kursk region, 5 each - over the territories of the Lipetsk and Smolensk regions, 4 each over the territories of the Oryol, Tver and Samara regions, (. . .), one each over the territories of the Kaluga, Rostov and Tula regions, 7 - over the waters of the Black Sea", the the Russian ministry said in a statement.
The statement also said three drones were shot down over Ukraine's Crimean peninsula, which was annexed by Russia in 2014.
