Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met today with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in Brussels, where the Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the alliance countries is taking place, CNN Turk reported, BTA reports.
According to sources from the Turkish Foreign Ministry, during the meeting Fidan and Rutte discussed the negotiations to end the war between Ukraine and Russia, security issues in the Black Sea and preparations for the NATO summit planned for July 2026 in Ankara.
The ministry's posts on social media specify that last night Fidan also held meetings with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, as well as with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Kallas.
