Russian forces continue to shell three border regions in Ukraine daily and try to advance with infantry groups, but cannot break through the defense lines of the Ukrainian border guards, service spokesman Andriy Demchenko said, quoted by Ukrinform, BTA reported.
„The situation on the border with Russia has not changed significantly. On the borders of Chernihiv, Sumy and Kharkiv regions, the enemy continues to shell daily“, Demchenko said.
According to him, in Kharkiv region, especially in the Vovchansk direction, Russian forces are active with infantry groups.
„The enemy is using the same tactics in Sumy region – on a small part of the front in the villages of Khotyn and Yunakivka,“ he added.
However, Demchenko stressed that Ukrainian forces were confidently holding the defensive line.
“The enemy cannot achieve any significant success or advance deeper into our territory, especially through the defensive lines held by units of the State Border Service,“ Demchenko said.
