The Russian army has advanced near Dobropole and Primorsk in Zaporizhia region, according to a message on the DeepState Telegram channel from Sunday, February 1, UNIAN reported.
Analysts have added maps showing that the village in question is Dobropole in Zaporizhia region, and not the city of the same name in the Pokrovsky district of Donetsk region.
The report of the General Staff at 22:00 on February 1 indicates that there have been 150 combat clashes since the beginning of the day. It specifies that the enemy carried out 25 air strikes, dropped 76 guided bombs, used 2,872 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,452 shellings on settlements and positions of the Ukrainian troops.
The report notes that the Russians carried out 31 attacks in the Pokrovskoye direction, with fighting still continuing in some places.
In the direction of Aleksandrovka, Ukrainian units repelled three attacks in the areas of Verbovye and Vishnevo.
In the direction of Yuzhno-Slobozhansk, the Russians stormed positions of the Ukrainian units in the areas of Staritsa, Vovchansk and towards the villages of Prilepka, Vilcha, Grafskoye, Vovchanskie Khutora and Kutkovka.
In the direction of Kupyansk, Ukrainian forces repelled four Russian attacks, and in the direction of Limansk - six attacks towards Novosergievka, Drobyshevo and Dibrova.
In the direction of Slavyansk, 12 enemy attempts to advance were repelled in the areas of Dronovka, Platonovka, Svyato-Pokrovskoye towards Zakytne and Rai-Alexandrovka. One clash continues.
In the Gulyai-Polye sector, Ukrainian defenders have repelled 23 attacks - towards Gulyai-Polye, Staroukrainka, Varvarovka, Zelenoe, Svyatopetrivka and Zheleznodorozhny. The General Staff noted that three clashes were ongoing.
A Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to advance unnoticed towards Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, the Telegram channel of the 43rd Mechanized Brigade reported.
The Russians were carrying a flag with them, which they probably intended to use to film a video of a staged capture of the village.
The flag of the destroyed military unit read “153rd Tank Regiment“.
“The Russians are not making progress. Kupyansk and Kupyansk-Uzlovaya are under the control of units of the 43rd Brigade and other defense forces,“ the Ukrainian defense official said.
