One of the victims of the shooting at a school in Hat Yai, southern Thailand, has died from her wounds, the kingdom's Ministry of Health announced.
According to the ministry, the school principal “died on February 12 as a result of her wounds and heavy blood loss“.
The newspaper “Haosud“ reported earlier that police had detained an 18-year-old suspect who opened fire at a school on February 11 and took more than 300 students and teachers hostage.
Thailand's health ministry also said a 14-year-old girl had been shot and taken to hospital for surgery.
Another student injured her leg when she fell trying to escape the attacker.
