Iran will complete drafting a nuclear deal proposal "in the next two or three days". This belief was expressed by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
"I will have to get approval from my superiors, then I will hand it over to the United States," he explained.
Araghchi clarified that during talks this week in Geneva, Switzerland, the United States did not ask Iran for "zero uranium enrichment". He added that Tehran had not made a similar proposal either.
The foreign minister reiterated that the aim of the discussions was to ensure that Iran's nuclear program was "peaceful".
Tensions remained high after media reported that Washington was considering carrying out limited strikes against Iran "within a few days".
