Four people were killed in a stabbing attack in the western US state of Washington, DPA reported, citing local authorities, BTA reported.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office said they received reports yesterday morning that "a man was stabbing people" outside a house near the town of Gig Harbor, southwest of Seattle.
"There are four fatalities, including the 32-year-old suspect, and there is a fifth victim of the attack who was immediately transported by the Gig Harbor Fire Department but later died from his injuries," the sheriff's office said in a statement.
The suspect was shot by a police officer who arrived at the scene, according to Tacoma police spokeswoman Shelby Boyd.
Investigators believe the incident is related to a domestic violence case. The 32-year-old man was on his way to get a restraining order. Investigators have not released any information about the victims' identities, DPA noted.
