Israel has warned the United States of a critical shortage of ballistic missile interceptors amid the war with Iran, US officials told Semafor.
According to the media, Israel entered the current war with a limited stock of interceptors, used up during last year's conflict with Iran.
A US official said the US had known about Israel's low stock of interceptors for several months. “We expected and anticipated this”, he said.
The Semafor source stressed that the US itself is not experiencing a shortage of interceptors.
