Russian drones have struck the western regions of Ukraine. Shahed drones hit an energy facility in the city of Novovolynsk, located right on the border with Poland.
As a result of the Russian attack, electricity and water supplies were partially cut off there, the BBC summarized.
According to data from the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the drones flew over the northern part of the Kyiv and Zhytomyr regions, threatened the Rivne region, and then attacked Kovel and Novovolynsk in Volyn.
At around 9:00 p.m. local time, the mayor of Novovolynsk, Boris Karpus, reported that an energy facility near the city had been hit. "Electricity has been cut off in part of the municipality. There are also interruptions in the water supply", he wrote.
Later, the mayor added that the damage to the energy facility was very serious and a fire was still burning there. "The relevant services are working at the scene of the impact. The energy workers will start work as soon as possible. There may be interruptions in the water supply at the moment. We are launching generators," he wrote.
Some of the heating boilers will operate at a minimum level, accommodation points are being set up.
The head of the regional administration, Roman Romanyuk, added that over 30,000 subscribers were left without electricity in the region.
The city of Novovolynsk is located a few kilometers from the border with Poland and the Lublin Voivodeship.
An air alert has been declared in the Lviv, Ternopil and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
Ukrainian drones are again attacking Sevastopol in annexed Crimea. The attack and its repulse were reported by many Russian Telegram channels, as well as by the head of the Russian authorities in Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhaev.
"In Sevastopol, the military repelled an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, mobile fire groups and air defense are operating. 3 air targets over the sea have already been shot down", says a post on Razvozhaev's Telegram channel.
He claims that according to data from the Sevastopol rescue service, no civilian objects in the city were damaged.
There is no other information about the consequences of the attack yet.
