Twelve US soldiers were injured in the Iranian attack on the "Prince Sultan" base in Saudi Arabia, Reuters reported, citing US officials. Two of the wounded US soldiers are in serious condition, BTA reports.
A total of more than 300 US soldiers have been injured since the start of the war on February 28, with 273 of them already returning to duty. 13 US soldiers have died in total in this conflict so far.
The new attack on the "Prince Sultan" air base damaged several US refueling planes, officials said. Satellite images were posted online that appeared to show damage to the planes.
The attack, which involved an Iranian missile as well as drones, came a day after US President Donald Trump declared Iran "defeated" and Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth said "never in history has a country's military been neutralized so quickly and effectively".
