The Ukrainian army announced today that it has liberated 11 villages in the Oleksandriv direction in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.
The Commander of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Oleg Apostol, said this in an interview with the national news agency.
11 villages were liberated, the residents of which were evacuated. The operation was carried out secretly so as not to endanger people's lives, Apostol said.
This information has not been independently verified. There has been no reaction from the Russian side so far.
The Ukrainian army is advancing in the area, claiming to have recaptured a total of 480 square kilometers of territory in the Oleksandriv direction, Ukrinform notes.
Earlier today, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the situation on the front is now the best in the last 10 months.
