Israel does not want a ceasefire in the Middle East and is not "playing on the side of the United States". This was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.
He stressed that the ceasefire agreed between the United States and Iran is just a "fragile truce".
According to him, US President Donald Trump "obviously" will not agree to Iran's 10-point proposal, as it would be "humiliating". However, Medvedev expressed confidence that Trump "is not willing and unable to wage a long war".
"But this is chess, played not by two, but by three players. Then there is Israel, which is not playing on the side of the United States. It does not need a ceasefire and has not solved its own problems. And it is quite possible that it will make its own move: simply sweep all the pieces off the chessboard. This makes the situation extremely uncertain," Medvedev said.
