US President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to Jerome Powell, the chairman of the Federal Reserve, Reuters reports.
He indicated that if Powell does not leave the institution after a new chairman of the Federal Reserve is appointed, he will have to fire him.
Powell incurs Trump's wrath over the slow rate of interest rate cuts.
The president even threatened to sue him over renovations at the Federal Reserve headquarters in Washington.
