Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovoy made a ridiculous blunder during a meeting with King of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf, addressing the monarch not with „Your Majesty“ but with „Your Emergency“.

The meeting between Sadoviy and the King of Sweden took place on April 17, 2026. The visit was an expression of solidarity with the country and emphasized Sweden's commitment to Ukraine.
Mayor Sadoviy gave the King a short tour of Lviv, during which they explored the historical center and the square in front of the city hall.
The King visited sites that suffered from Russian attacks, including the historic church “St. Andrey“ and residential buildings hit by drones.
Together with President Zelensky, King Carl XVI Gustaf visited the Lychakiv Cemetery to pay tribute to fallen Ukrainian soldiers.
The King joked that before coming, he had looked up information about Lviv on Google and was impressed by the beauty of the city.
During his visit to Lviv, the King was also accompanied by Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergård.
