Ukrainians say to us: help us survive in 2024 and through 2025 year we can resume the offensive. This was revealed by a French official who recently held a conversation with the Ukrainian authorities, Le Figaro newspaper reported.
The current situation in the war puts Ukraine at a disadvantage. Ukrainian soldiers have retreated to defensive positions, and the Russian army is applying constant pressure for a breakthrough. The hypothesis of the defeat of Ukraine is being discussed again more than two years after the start of the full-scale war.
At the same time, according to one of the sources, “the first to mobilize will win”.
In Ukraine, society shows signs of war fatigue, and for a long time the political leadership in Kyiv has not dared to announce a large-scale mobilization of the population. The Kremlin is also cautious – Vladimir Putin would prefer to avoid the unpopular decision to announce a new large-scale mobilization of troops.
