Russia appears to be giving up using the Crimean Bridge, also known as the Kerch Bridge, to transport military equipment and weapons to the front lines in Ukraine .
This is reported by The Independent and the investigative group Molfar. Instead, Vladimir Putin's troops are now using land routes into the occupied parts of eastern Ukraine.
According to an analysis by Molfar, only one military freight train with about 55 tanks has crossed the Crimean bridge in the past three months. On March 25, the head of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) Vasyl Malyuk said that Russia no longer uses the connecting bridge between the Russian mainland and the Crimean Peninsula for arms deliveries.
The reason is simple: Ukraine's attacks on the bridge connecting Russia with occupied Crimea. Kiev has repeatedly stated that the bridge is a legitimate target for the ZSU. Now the Russians are transferring their logistics over land and using routes in the occupied territories in the south-eastern part of Ukraine. According to military experts, Ukraine should change its tactics and direct its strikes precisely along land routes.
