Russian missile-carrying bomber Tu- 22M3 crashed in the Irkutsk region, the crew ejected. This was announced by the Russian Ministry of Defense, quoted by TASS.
"On August 15, 2024, a Tu-22M3 aircraft crashed during a scheduled flight. The pilots ejected successfully. There is no danger to their lives. According to preliminary data, the cause of the accident was a technical malfunction," the defense department reported.
All four pilots of the Tu-22M3 plane that crashed in the Irkutsk region have been found and are alive, announced the governor of the Irkutsk region, Igor Kobziov.
The fire at the plane crash site has been extinguished, the governor added.
