Zelensky has a plan for victory. What is known about him? - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the war that Russia has started against his country could end next year. “Decisive actions now can accelerate the just end of Russian aggression against Ukraine next year”, Zelensky wrote on the X platform after a meeting with American congressmen. “Now, at the end of the year, we have a real opportunity to strengthen cooperation between Ukraine and the United States,", he points out and expresses his gratitude to the US Congress and both factions in it for their unwavering commitment. “Our victory plan will help in practice to force Russia to make peace”, Zelensky added after the meeting.

In an interview with the American television channel ABC News, the Ukrainian president expressed his optimism for a soon end of the war with Russia. "I think we are closer to peace than we think," Zelensky said. The end of the war is near. In the interview, he called on the United States and other partners to continue supporting Ukraine.

What might the “winner plan” contain?

Zelensky wants to present the so-called victory plan during the talks and possibly in his public speeches during his current visit to the US. Thus he hopes to secure additional political and military support from his allies. In this regard, the British newspaper “Times” reports that the plan includes a request for Western security guarantees similar to those of NATO membership. In addition, unspecified weapons and additional financial assistance will be requested.

Zelensky is expected to participate in the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine today, and tomorrow (Wednesday) he must address the UN General Assembly. The Ukrainian president will also be received at the White House by President Joe Biden.

The general debate of the UN General Assembly, in which more than 130 heads of state and government are expected to participate, begins this Tuesday in New York. Germany will be represented by Foreign Minister Analena Berbock, who landed in New York on Monday and will address the UN's top body later in the week.

Preparation for Second Peace Summit

From Zelensky's previous participation in the General Assembly in New York, it became clear that a new summit is being prepared to achieve peace. He invited all heads of state and government and nations to continue to support joint efforts for a just and peaceful future. “Putin has already stolen a lot, but he will never steal the future of the world”, Zelensky said at the UN headquarters in New York.

Moscow continues to refuse to participate in peace meetings. In June, dozens of countries, excluding Russia and China, took part in the first such summit in Switzerland. A second such meeting can be held in November this year, it became clear from Zelensky's words.
