John Kelly: Trump thinks Hitler did good things - 1

Trump fits the definition of a fascist, will rule like a dictator if allowed and has no understanding of the Constitution and the rule of law. This grave diagnosis was made by John Kelly - Secretary of Homeland Security and then Director of the White House Office during the Trump administration. He worked with the former American president for about a year and a half.

Trump doesn't understand democracy and praises Hitler?

Before the "New York Times" Kelly, who is a former Marine general, warned of the dangers if Trump is re-elected. His former confidant says that the former American president never accepted the fact that as a politician he is not omnipotent and cannot do whatever he wants. His comments are in connection with Trump's recent statements that the military could then intervene to fight the "enemy from within", i.e. his political opponents.

According to Kelly, Trump is the only American president who "completely rejects the Constitution and American values". He also recounts conversations with the current Republican presidential candidate in which Trump said Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler "did good things, too" and attacks veterans and those who died fighting for the United States for being "losers".

Former Trump aides speak out against his candidacy

John Kelly is another general who has been close to Trump, warning about the character and understanding of the Republican contender for the White House. It recently emerged that former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, described Trump as "the most dangerous man in this country". Milley, who also served during Donald Trump's term, has previously issued warnings about the views of the 45th US president, but in Bob Woodward's new book "War" he describes him as a man who is "fascist to the core". Because of the criticism he has shared publicly, the retired general fears a court-martial if Trump becomes president again.

In the past, John Bolton, Trump's former national security adviser, has also discussed the accusation that Trump has fascist leanings. According to Bolton, to be a fascist you have to follow a certain philosophy, and Donald Trump is not capable of that. But still, there is "a mountain of evidence that he is unfit to be president", the politician and diplomat has been emphasizing for years.

The US election will be held on November 5, and the battle between Donald Trump and the Democratic candidate - Vice President Kamala Harris - is extremely contested.
