One person died in an accident with a car with a Bulgarian license plate in the Turkish district of Edirne bordering Bulgaria, the Turkish news agency DHA reports.
The car crossed from Bulgaria to Turkey through the Hamzabeyli checkpoint.
The incident happened last night. The car crashed into a tractor-trailer carrying wheat. The 77-year-old driver Seifullah A. died on the spot. His wife is injured. She was admitted to hospital.
The driver of the tractor has been detained.
An investigation has been launched into the matter.
Meanwhile, a serious bus accident occurred this morning in Eskişehir County (Western Turkey). According to initial data, one person died and 30 were injured, reports Turkish television NTV.
The bus, which was traveling from the resort of Alanya (in Antalya County) to Bursa (populated with many people with Bulgarian citizenship), went off the road and overturned.
The crashed bus belongs to the “Kamil Koc“ company.
Many ambulances and gendarmerie have been dispatched to the area of the incident.
