NATO and Ukraine will hold a meeting on Tuesday in Brussels dedicated to Russia's attack on Ukraine with a hypersonic missile, France Press reported .
The meeting will be held at the request of Kyiv and will be at the level of ambassadors.
Russia is attacking the territory of Ukraine with a medium-range (up to 5,500 km) ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead. Kiev said Moscow had used an intercontinental ballistic missile.
The deployment of this type of weaponry "will not change either the course of the conflict or NATO's determination to support Ukraine,", NATO said in a statement yesterday evening.
Russia launched the missile against Ukraine after Ukraine twice attacked Russian territory in recent days with American ATAKMS missiles and British "Storm Shadow" missiles, which have a range of about 300 km, AFP notes.
Information appeared in the media that US President Joe Biden on Sunday gave permission for strikes with American weapons on the territory of Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said yesterday that the conflict in Ukraine now has the attributes of a "world" war and warned that he does not rule out striking Western countries.
"We consider it our right to use our weapons against military sites of countries that allow the use of their weapons against our sites,", Putin said.
