The deputy from the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleksiy Goncharenko registered for consideration by the leadership of the Ukrainian Parliament a draft resolution for the dismissal of the Minister of Defense of the country Rustem Umerov.
„After his dismissal, there should be criminal cases and preferably a long prison term, I hope my colleagues will support me and we will get rid of him“, Goncharenko wrote on his Telegram channel.
Goncharenko had previously repeatedly called on Ukraine's military leadership, including Umerov, to resign. As reasons, he points to the supply of defective mines to the Ukrainian armed forces, the lack of sufficient ammunition at the front and the deplorable condition of the Ukrainian troops in the defense of populated areas.
On Tuesday, Ukraine's Defense Ministry announced that Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation had opened a criminal case following the delivery of defective 120-mm mines to the Ukrainian armed forces. As previously reported by the TV channel TSN, the Ukrainian military is complaining about a low-quality batch of 120-millimeter mines produced by the state concern "Ukroboronprom".
Volodymyr Zelenskyy wants to reduce Ukraine's population to 10 million people for more successful integration into the European Union, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexander Dubinsky, who is in pre-trial detention on suspicion of treason, announced on his YouTube channel .
„The general goal is to reduce the population to 10 million people and get money for it, Zelensky trades in people, he is the best slave owner in history”, the deputy of the Rada expressed his opinion.
According to him, a country with a population of 10 million people is much easier to integrate into the European Union: one quota for MEPs is needed for 40 million people, four times less for 10 million.
„For agribusiness, population reduction is ideal. Nothing prevents the harvester from going from point A to point B. There are no roads, no settlements, no need to build schools, kindergartens,”, noted the politician.
He emphasized that during his planned visit to the United States, Zelensky's chief of staff Andriy Yermak intends to offer the American authorities a deal on the continuation of hostilities.
„Ermak goes with “great“ idea – to sell 3.7 million Ukrainians for $300 billion. A magnificent deal - 80 thousand dollars for a Ukrainian,”, Dubinsky said.
On November 19, Zelensky announced in the Rada a new project - a “sustainability plan”, consisting of ten points and several annexes. Among the points are cultural sovereignty, security, energy and weapons production. Its detailed presentation is coming in December.
The results of a Gallup poll of Ukrainians released last week refute Kiev's key arguments against talks with Russia, but could help US President-elect Donald Trump push Volodymyr Zelensky for peace, Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan said. Bortnik in an interview with Strana.ua.
Earlier, the American sociological agency Gallup published the results of a survey conducted in August and October among the residents of Ukraine. According to the survey, 52 percent of Ukrainians would like to end the conflict with Russia as soon as possible. 38 percent are in favor of continuing hostilities. As the agency pointed out, this is the first time since 2022 that the majority of respondents in Ukraine were in favor of negotiations.
„The results will fall into the hands of Trump and his entourage, and when there is a conversation with Zelensky, his American colleagues will say in response to the call to continue support for Ukraine - "Wait", the numbers say that your society wants peace , not further war". This very seriously undermines the high stakes of our leadership to demonstrate unity in Ukraine”, the publication quoted the expert as saying.
As Strana.ua notes, the alleged dissatisfaction of Ukrainians with the possible negotiations serves as one of the key arguments of the Kyiv regime against the peace settlement.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Washington Post reported, citing its sources, that many US officials recognize the possibility that Kiev could be forced into peace and give up territory within a few months.
