Russia is preparing North Korean soldiers for direct participation in hostilities. It is assumed that Pyongyang's forces will enter into battle against the Ukrainian armed forces on the Kursk salient. This was stated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It is noted that the command of the DPRK units has already received an order to actually enter the war, UNIAN reports.
"They fed them – and went on the attack: DPRK soldiers are preparing for direct participation in hostilities. The command of the North Korean army units in Russia received an order to interact with neighboring Russian units conducting combat operations in the Kursk region,“ Ukrainian military intelligence noted.
According to their forecasts, Russian leaders may soon involve North Korean soldiers in assault operations. They have recently received additional food supplies.
"On December 13, 2024, the units of the North Korean army were put on combat readiness and ordered to await further instructions," the GUR added.
