NATO warns: Threats to kill Rheinmetall CEO part of sabotage campaign - 1

NATO said on Monday that acts of sabotage carried out in member countries in recent years have included threats to kill business leaders, including the CEO of German arms manufacturer “Rheinmetall“, Reuters reported.

NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Innovation, Hybrid and Cyber Technologies James Appathurai confirmed during a statement to the European Parliament that threats had been made against the CEO of “Rheinmetall“ Armin Paperger, which have so far only been reported by the media.

The acts of sabotage include “derailing trains, arson, attacks on politicians' property, threats to kill business leaders, including the head of “Rheinmetall“, but there were other plots as well”, Appathurai told the EP.
