The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he had signed a law on the extension of martial law and mobilization in Ukraine from February 8 to May 9, 2025, reports Ukrainskaya Pravda.
The Ukrainian President submitted the bill on the extension of martial law to the Verkhovna Rada on January 14, and on January 15, the country's Parliament adopted the proposal.
Shortly before that, Zelensky commented on the topic of new elections in Ukraine, saying in interviews with British journalist Piers Morgan and on Telegram that, in his opinion, elections in Ukraine are very important, but they can be held only after the end of the hot phase of the war and after the lifting of martial law.
