The Russian Defense Ministry said today that Ukraine has violated the announced three-day ceasefire more than 14,043 times, and Kiev's troops have made five attempts to cross Russia's southern border, TASS and Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"Despite the declaration of the ceasefire regime, Ukrainian armed forces continued to conduct combat operations against Russian troops. A total of 14,043 ceasefire violations were registered,“ the statement said.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, along the entire line of contact, Ukrainian units fired 4,011 artillery, tank and mortar shells at Russian positions, including 62 using multi-purpose rocket launchers. In addition, Ukrainians carried out strikes and dropped ammunition using drones a total of 9,918 times.
Over the past 24 hours, Russian air defense forces have shot down 3 JDAM bombs and 143 Ukrainian drones.
Both Russia and Ukraine have repeatedly accused each other of violating the proposed ceasefire between May 8 and 10, which Kiev has not agreed to, Reuters reports.
