An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 on the Richter scale was registered off the coast of the Greek island of Crete, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.
According to its data, the epicenter of the tremors was located 74 km north of the city of Heraklion, where about 140 thousand people live. The source was located at a depth of 15 km.
