Emmanuel Macron denied having a family quarrel with his wife upon their arrival in Hanoi and called for calm, AFP reported, BTA reported.
"We were joking with my wife, as we often do [...] For three weeks, some people have been watching videos and thinking that I shared a bag of cocaine, that I had a fight with the Turkish president, and now I have a family quarrel with my wife. None of this is true, [...] so everyone should calm down," the French president told journalists in Hanoi.
A video taken yesterday of their arrival in the Vietnamese capital shows Brigitte Macron pushing her husband before the two get off the presidential plane. The French president steps back, visibly taken aback, but quickly recovers and waves to the cameras down on the runway, which are capturing the scene.
