North Korea's Foreign Ministry criticized the plans for the US missile shield "Golden Dome" calling it a "very dangerous and threatening initiative", Reuters reported, citing North Korean state media, BTA reported.

The plan for the "Golden Dome" is a "typical product of the "America First" (President Trump's strategy – ed.) - the height of complacency, arrogance, haughtiness and arbitrariness, and is a scenario for a nuclear war in space," said the Institute for American Studies at the North Korean Foreign Ministry, quoted by the state news agency KCNA.
The missile shield aims to use a network of hundreds of satellites orbiting in space with sophisticated sensors and interceptors that can destroy approaching enemy missiles launched by countries such as China, North Korea and Russia, Reuters recalls. Last week, Beijing said it was – – – "seriously concerned" about the project and urged Washington to abandon it.
