The drivers of the Russian cargo trucks used in the Ukrainian operation "Spiderweb" were not informed that they were participating in a military operation. This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the American television ABC News.
According to him, the drivers "were simply performing their assigned work" and did not know that combat drones were hidden in the bodies of the trucks. Zelensky specified that the drones were placed in special containers with remotely controlled removable roofs. After reaching the designated positions, the roofs opened automatically and the drones took off to strike Russian airfields.
The President of Ukraine emphasized that exclusively Ukrainian-made weapons were used in the operation.
We recall that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs has put a man named Artyom Timofeev on the wanted list, who is suspected of being involved in the Ukrainian operation "Cobweb" - attacks on strategic military facilities in Russia. The information was published in the department's database, indicating that Timofeev is wanted under an article of the Criminal Code, without specifying the exact legal qualification.
Artyom Timofeev, who is suspected of playing a logistical role in the cover and transportation of the mobile launchers, left Russia even before the attacks, independent sources reported on Telegram. According to preliminary data, he was the owner or manager of a transport services company, whose equipment could have been used in the operation without attracting attention.
