Iran wants an investigation into US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, the head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization, Mohammad Eslami, said, Reuters reported, BTA reported.

He made the request in a letter to International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi, urging him to condemn the US strikes and take appropriate measures. Eslami also criticized Grossi's inaction and complicity and said Iran would take appropriate legal measures to address the issue.

Grossi said today that he was calling an emergency meeting of the IAEA Board of Directors. The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, Agence France-Presse added.

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened the United States with a response to the US strikes on Iran that will make the Americans regret having acted in this way, Agence France-Presse reported. The Corps has vowed to continue with attacks on Israel.

Iranian authorities have also announced that they are increasing the presence of paramilitary forces to patrol urban centers.

The US strikes on Iranian nuclear sites have not caused any casualties, according to the director of the Iranian Red Crescent, Pir Hossein Kolivand, Agence France-Presse reported.

“Fortunately, there were no martyrs during the events of last night, when the US aggression against Iranian nuclear facilities was carried out,“ he said on Iranian state television.
