Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said his country had struck the Iranian capital Tehran, including the "Evin" prison, which he said houses a number of political prisoners and opponents of the Islamic Republic, Reuters and DPA reported, quoted by BTA.

Earlier today, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar published in "Ex" footage of the prison attack and wrote in Spanish "Long live freedom", tagging Argentine President Javier Milley, a staunch supporter of Israel.

Earlier today, the Israeli military said it had carried out strikes in Iran to block access to the Fordow nuclear facility, one of three nuclear sites hit in US airstrikes over the weekend. Fordow is one of the sites where uranium is enriched.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the US had caused "very serious damage" to the heavily fortified Fordow facility, although he did not provide specific details about the damage.

The US military and the Natanz nuclear facility, using bunker-busting bombs. Additionally, according to US officials, cruise missiles were launched from submarines and targeted the nuclear facilities in Isfahan.

Fordo is home to Iran's main uranium enrichment plant, which is located 80-90 meters underground. The facility is located near the city of Qom (150 km south of Tehran). Experts note that it is one of the main targets of Israel's operation against Iran's nuclear program and that it can only be successfully attacked from the air by the US Air Force, which has the necessary ammunition and bombers, the Russian state news agency TASS notes.

Reuters earlier reported, citing a senior Iranian source, that before the US strike, most of the enriched uranium had been removed from the Fordow plant.

Since June 13, when direct clashes began, at least 58 women and children have been killed and 222 injured in Israeli strikes on Iranian territory, Iranian government spokeswoman Fatemeh Mohajerani was quoted as saying by the Iranian news agency ISNA.
