US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that both Israel and Iran violated a ceasefire he announced hours earlier, and that he was not happy with either side, but especially Israel, Reuters quoted him as saying.
Talking to reporters before leaving for the NATO summit in The Hague, Trump said Israel "let loose" immediately after agreeing to the deal. He also stressed that Iran's nuclear capabilities had been destroyed.
Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Iran had violated the ceasefire and ordered the military to launch new strikes on Tehran.
Iran's National Security Council, for its part, issued a statement announcing the ceasefire had come into effect. Iranian state media also rejected Israel's accusations.
