Pentagon Admits: We Didn't Use Bunker Bombs Against One of Iran's Nuclear Sites - 1

A US general told a briefing quoted by CNN that the US did not use bunker bombs to destroy the underground nuclear complex in Isfahan last week because the facility was "too deep underground and the bombs were ineffective", Focus writes.

Instead, the complex was hit with Tomahawk missiles launched from a submarine. Iran's other nuclear sites — Fordow and Natanz were hit with bombs dropped by B2 bombers.

Intelligence shows that the attacks didn't destroy key components of the nuclear program, only delayed it by several months. There were suspicions that some of the enriched uranium had been moved before the strikes. President Donald Trump, however, denied these rumors and said that it was impossible for the uranium to have been removed in advance.

Satellite images later emerged showing that Iran had already restored access to the tunnels in Isfahan.
