According to experts, the return process is limited only by the capacity of the crossing points between the two countries, which currently allows the passage of about 3,000 people per day.
According to official data, as of June 19, nearly 2.7 million Syrians were residing in Turkey, and since the fall of the Bashar Assad regime on December 8, 2024, over 300,000 Syrians have left Turkey to return to their homeland.
