Ukraine and the United States are clarifying all details regarding the delivery of defense support, including air defense components.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky during his address, published on his Telegram channel and quoted by "Ukrinform".

"Currently, at the working level, Ukraine and the United States are clarifying all details regarding the delivery of defense support, including air defense components. One way or another, we must ensure the protection of our people," he said.

Zelensky also reported that a discussion was held on further steps in relations with the European Union (EU), which is chaired by Denmark.

"Today there was a meeting with our government officials and the Office team - we are also preparing new agreements with Denmark and other partners for the production of weapons, joint production, and we are preparing news about our interceptor drones," he said.

The head of state added that he had also spoken with the president of Egypt. According to him, they discussed bilateral relations and the approaching end of the war.

"Egypt is ready to help. We agreed to intensify the work of the Ukraine-Egypt intergovernmental commission," the president said.

We recall that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made a careful but categorical criticism of the United States' decision to temporarily suspend the supply of some types of weapons to Ukraine.

In an interview with Fox News, he emphasized that while he understands Washington's concerns about its own military supplies, in the short term Kiev cannot do without support.

The United States announced that it was temporarily suspending some arms supplies to Ukraine, including anti-aircraft missiles and precision-guided munitions, due to concerns about depleted resources at the Pentagon. According to NBC News, the decision was made personally by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth after ordering a comprehensive inspection of American military stocks.

Sources say that the supplies will be frozen at least until this assessment is completed. If resources prove to be limited or needed on other fronts - including the Middle East and the Indo-Pacific - the interruption could be extended.

NATO's response reflects growing concern among European allies that domestic political considerations and global U.S. commitments could limit their ability to support Ukraine's defenses at a crucial moment in the war.
