Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, warned enemies that they will face an even more crushing response if they commit aggression against the Islamic Republic again, the Iranian news agency IRNA reported, quoted by BTA.
Mousavi made the warning last night, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a ceremony honoring the dead in the recent 12-day war provoked by Israel.
“In the event of any malicious action by the enemies, our response will be more crushing than before“, the senior Iranian general said. He stressed that Iran's response to any illegal or threatening action will be “decisive and categorical“, warning that the aggressors will regret their actions.
Mousavi hailed Iran's victory in the recent 12-day war with Israel, attributing the outcome to the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the determination of the Iranian people and the strength of Iran's armed forces.
Yesterday's ceremony came four days after mass funerals in the capital Tehran for the slain soldiers and scientists, as well as dozens of other martyrs of the Israeli strikes. President Masoud Pezeshkian and other Iranian government and military officials also attended the main ceremony in Tehran.
