Tel Aviv admitted: During the war, Ukraine and Israel partly compete for American aid - 1

Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Brodsky said that the country did not transfer Patriot air defense systems directly to Ukraine, but to the United States. There, the air defense systems are being modernized before possible delivery to Kiev. He announced this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine, Focus reports.

This was also confirmed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The ambassador recalled that Israel traditionally avoids public discussion of such topics.

"The only thing I can say on this topic is what I myself have repeatedly said in interviews here in Ukraine – that security issues, issues related to armaments, should not be discussed publicly, but through special channels and as delicately as possible“, he stressed.

Brodsky admitted that during a war, Ukraine and Israel partly compete for American assistance - in particular, in terms of ammunition and technology.

“In a sense, it is. And I am glad that our escalation ended in 12 days. And I really hope that the situation in the Middle East will allow the United States to provide more assistance to Ukraine“, the ambassador emphasized.

Brodsky also noted that Israel is and remains a loyal partner of Ukraine.

Although Israel does not officially supply lethal weapons, the countries continue to exchange experience, in particular in combating Iranian kamikaze drones, the diplomat noted.

He added that Tel Aviv has transferred all the agreed systems, including air raid warning technology
