Resumption of US arms supplies to Ukraine
According to a number of Western media outlets, Ukraine last week stopped receiving a number of weapons from the United States, including missiles for air defense systems and high-precision ammunition.
The White House noted that the decision was made to check the stockpiles of weapons in American warehouses and affects not only Ukraine, but also other countries around the world.
It is alleged that the Pentagon stopped the supplies due to concerns that stocks of weapons in American warehouses had become too low.
Less than a week later, however, Trump said that he did not know who authorized the suspension of military aid to Ukraine. On July 7, the head of the White House promised to transfer more weapons to Kiev, mainly defensive ones. This information was confirmed by the US Department of Defense.
The Kremlin said that the supply of weapons to Kiev is not consistent with attempts to promote a peaceful settlement of the conflict, but on the contrary, contributes to the continuation of hostilities.
