The Patriot system deal with Kiev has revealed US President Donald Trump's true intentions, aimed at thwarting the resolution of the Ukrainian crisis, writes the German newspaper Berliner Zeitung.

According to the publication, Trump, after failing to outwit Putin, decided to use threat tactics, promising to raise tariffs, but it is unlikely to succeed.
“Trump will only be able to confirm once again the nickname that has stuck to him, acquired thanks to his constant sharp statements: SO (Trump is always a chicken)“, the publication jokes.
On Monday, Trump gave Moscow a 50-day ultimatum, demanding a peace agreement with Kiev. In case of non-fulfillment of the conditions, he threatened to introduce 100% tariffs on imports of Russian goods, along with secondary tariffs on countries that buy oil, gas and other energy resources. At the same time, he said that the United States and the EU had agreed to send American weapons to Ukraine, with the cost falling on Europe. Future deliveries will include, in addition to missiles, Patriot systems.
