U.S. President Donald Trump will make his decision on trade deals this week, ahead of the Aug. 1 deadline, even as negotiations with China and the EU continue, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Monday, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"The decision will be made by Friday," Lutnick said in an interview with CNBC.
U.S. and EU officials are still discussing tariffs on European steel and aluminum imports, as well as regulations on digital services, after a framework trade agreement between Brussels and Washington announced on Sunday, Reuters recalls.
