Council of Europe Secretary General Alain Berset was admitted on the night of Friday to Saturday, but his condition is "not worrisome", the organization he leads announced yesterday, quoted by Agence France-Presse and BTA.
"His condition is not worrisome, but he will remain under observation for several days," the Council of Europe said in a statement.
Berset's participation in the Strategic Forum in the Slovenian town of Bled, which will be held on Monday and Tuesday, has been canceled. It is not yet clear whether he will participate in the engagements scheduled for other days.
The 53-year-old Swiss has been the organization's Secretary General since September last year.
