The fire over the village of Gorni Romantsi in Breznik has been limited, the director of the State Forestry - Breznik Yuliy Sirakov announced to the Bulgarian National Radio.
There is no danger to the population. A clearing was made last night
and the spread of the fire towards the village has been stopped.
The area covered by the fire is about 650 decares, 120 of which are state forest territories - white and black pine and about 520 decares of dry grasses.
Fire Department teams from Pernik and Breznik, as well as forest officials from Breznik, Dupnitsa, Zemen, Tran and Radomir are on the ground.
Volunteers are also helping. The teams will continue to be on duty until the flames are completely extinguished.
