Stolichna Municipality has signed a service bank agreement with Postbank. This is an important step towards more secure and effective management of municipal funds and stability in the interest of the citizens of Sofia, reports the press center of Sofia Municipality.
The previous partner - Municipal Bank, with which the municipality has been working for nearly three decades, has decided to discontinue servicing the accounts of Sofia Municipality. This necessitated the conduct of a procedure for selecting a new bank that would take over the management of the Municipality's funds with predictability, security and efficiency.
„I believe that after the transparent procedure for selecting a new bank, we will be able to guarantee better management and more stability for the funds of Sofia residents. Together we have shown that we can make important decisions openly, in a spirit of cooperation and with responsibility towards citizens“, said Sofia Mayor Vasil Terziev.
The Sofia Municipality team is already actively working on the transition to the new servicing bank, and the new current accounts will be opened from the beginning of October. All interested parties will be notified of them in a timely manner.
The Sofia Municipality expresses its gratitude to the employees and municipal councilors who supported the decision and participated in resolving this important case for the city.
