The protests of local people continue until the mayors of Plovdiv and Maritsa take public responsibility for a regular bus connection. This was stated by the association "Future for Trud", after the Ministry of Transport announced on Friday that a permanent solution to the problem is expected within 100 days, BNR reports.
The association notes that communication on the problem is conducted through the media and no institution has directly contacted the protesters. They appreciate the commitment made by the Minister of Transport, but emphasize that they will hold him accountable for its observance.
The plan for the new bus line between Trud and Plovdiv depends on the mayors of the two municipalities "Plovdiv" and “Maritsa“, but so far they have not declared their readiness to fulfill their obligations.
Therefore, the protesters specify that the protest planned for today at 4 p.m. will be held and canceled only if there is a public written statement from the mayors that they will fulfill the steps assigned to them from the plan of Transport Minister Grozdan Karadjov.
If such a statement is missing, the indefinite protests will continue every Sunday.
