"The mess with Sarafov is very big. The only way out of this situation is for him to resign, leave and free up the opportunity for election, as well as for a new SJC".
This opinion was expressed to the Bulgarian National Radio by the leader of MECH Radostin Vassilev regarding the decision of the Supreme Court of Cassation regarding the acting chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov.
"The situation has been on autopilot for quite some time in politics and in general in the way the majority governs. Now we have an extremely serious situation, which is underestimated by both the prosecutor's office and the four parties in power, because there is nothing to lie to ourselves about - we have an illegitimate prosecutor general at the moment", he commented.
In the program "Nedelya 150" Vassilev also called for the resignation of the government, because, in his words, it is illegitimate:
"Its illegitimateness is also confirmed by the inability to form a quorum".
"In this composition of the parliament, we will not participate in the election of the Supreme Judicial Council and proposals related to this, because we believe that there is a political party inside, such as "New Beginning", a large part of GERB, which were elected illegally through vote buying and pressure in various ways. We believe that in a series of new elections, when the time comes, this monopoly of the mafia will be broken", declared the leader of the MECH party and explained:
"They will do nothing to change the leadership of the prosecutor's office. I have nothing left but to rely on resignations".
"Do you believe that it is possible for Sarafov to leave now, when he is the last man in the execution of backstage agreements of the ruling party? I do not believe it. I think that the socio-economic tension will put things in such a way that they will leave for another reason. With a new majority, this figure - the Prosecutor General - will also have to change,", Vassilev expressed his opinion.
According to him, even without a Prosecutor General at the moment, the Prosecutor General's Office in Bulgaria can function quite successfully.
"The MECH program states that we plan to close this figure constitutionally - when we are given this opportunity".
"I believe that Borislav Sarafov is the ninth dwarf and he should be held criminally liable for collusion, for pressure against people, for causing great damage - property and non-property, to businesses and inconvenient politicians, and like everything else - and for distributing the budget of the prosecutor's office", said Radostin Vassilev.
He also commented on the major flood on the Black Sea coast, which also claimed human lives. In this regard, the politician noted the enormous corruption. According to him, a large part of Elenite and St. Vlas are illegal. According to him, however, the Minister of Tourism will not establish violations because he considers him a "dependent minister".
"The political system in Bulgaria needs to be changed and a big change".
We will not support unprepared, unsubstantiated and weak votes of no confidence, the leader of MECH also said regarding the vote of no confidence in "Vazrazhdane".
