The pilot who crashed into the audience during the mountain rally "Aladzha Monastery", has tested positive for drugs. The field test showed the presence of amphetamine. This became clear from a statement by the head of the "Traffic Police" sector at the ODMVR-Varna, quoted by Nova TV. At the same time, the pilot's alcohol test is negative.
In front of the media, Chief Inspector Kamburov from the "Traffic Police" - Varna specified that the field test is not definitive proof and the results of the blood sample, which will be examined at the Military Medical Academy, are awaited.
"The pilot is currently detained for 24 hours under the Ministry of Interior Law“, the inspector also confirmed.
For his part, Commissioner Dimitar Lukov, head of the “Security Police“ department, explained that the Ministry of Interior's commitment under the contract was only to stop civilian cars from accessing the closed track. All other commitments regarding the security of the event itself and the audience on the track were the responsibility of the competition organizer.
