There have been 58 reports of accidents over the past 24 hours, 24 of which are due to weather conditions, said fire department director Alexander Dzhartov after a meeting of the Operational Headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in connection with the complicated weather situation in the country.
„The waters have drained away at „Nestinarka“, and in the village of Lozenets there is only one hotel complex whose yard area and swimming pool are flooded with water. Drainage will begin after the inflow is stopped“, Dzhartov specified.
The „Nestinarka“ holiday complex and the resort village of Lozenets are in the Tsarevo municipality, which has been flooded by torrential rains in recent days.
Earlier today, the Tsarevo Municipality reported local flooding in the low-lying parts of the village of Lozenets.
According to Dzhartov, there is currently no danger to citizens.
39 flooded areas are without restored power supply, in the morning there were 51.
The fire department director also announced that there was no concentration of accidents in specific areas and no evacuation was required anywhere.
“We are receiving information from all over the country every minute in order to adequately respond to the weather conditions“, said Toni Todorov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs at the briefing.
