The Minister of Health Silvi Kirilov commented on the demands of young doctors and medical students, who are taking part in a new protest under the slogan “Future in Bulgaria”. He pointed out that measures have already been taken. In connection with the insistence on more money, he specified that the department that manages it is not the finance ministry, on which the issue of salaries depends.
"What they wanted - we have taken measures for many things. Maybe they will want the sun to rise from the west, but I cannot provide it. The same is true with finances. The Ministry of Health is not a finance ministry. The Bulgarian health system does not rely on young doctors, but on those who were residents 15 years ago," Kirilov said.
